The Big Picture

Okay, like, here's the big picture on what Protons and Neutrons's role in an Atom is.

Inside an Atom's Nucleus live the Protons and Neutrons.

For Every proton, there must be a Electron outside the Nucleus to balance it's Positive charge.

Inside The Protons and Nuetrons, are three quarks. Two up, one down for Protons. Two down, one up for Neutrons.

Around these quarks are clouds of Gluons.
